UT-101 (Ultrasonic Level I Training)
This 40 hours class covers basic ultrasonic theory and equipment operation and follows the ASNT CP-105 training syllabus.
UT-102 (Ultrasonic Level II Training)
This 40 hours class follows the ASNT CP-105 training syllabus and fulfills the second half of the required 80 hours of formal classroom training. This class reviews ultrasonic theory and equipment operation but extends to more application specific and advanced technique training.
UT-301 (Advanced Detection and Characterization)
This is a 40 hour training class which is designed to take your weld discontinuity detection and characterization capabilities to the next level. This class is perfect for individuals preparing for the API QUTE exams.
UT-301 GP (Advanced Detection and Characterization – Guided Practice)
This is a one day (8 hours) guided practice which is specifically designed for set up and preparation for taking the API QUTE examination. This short class will allow candidates to finalize calibrations and set-ups prior to taking the examination.
UT-302 (Advanced Crack Sizing)
This 40 hour class is designed to teach advanced crack sizing techniques, such as tip- diffraction, “creeping wave”, bimodal, and High Angle L-Wave and Shear wave techniques, using single and dual element angle beam transducers. This is ideal for individuals preparing for the API QUSE and EPRI sizing exams or various performance demonstration examinations. This course was originally developed by Mark Davis, and was actually the first course taught at UofUT, predating Phased Array by a few years.
UT-302 GP (Advanced Crack Sizing – Guided Practice)
This is a one day (8 hours) guided practice which is specifically designed for set up and preparation for taking the API QUSE crack sizing examination. This short class will allow candidates to finalize calibrations and set-ups prior to taking the examination.
